Most of the golf courses in Thailand have practice facilities but not all of them have a resident professional available

Bangkok Golf Lessons

If you are staying in Bangkok then it’s probably best to use one of the indoor training facilities

Pattaya Golf Lesson

If you are heading for Pattaya for a few rounds and would like to straighten out some of the kinks in your game, then we recommend the TPR Golf Academy which is another high-tech facility with two locations – one at the Siam Country Club Plantation driving range and another at the Greenway Driving Range about 20 minutes from the beachfront in Pattaya. If you are staying in Hua Hin then your best option is the Hua Hin Golf Academy which is located at Banyan Golf Club which is only 20 minutes from the centre of Hua Hin.  Run by Head professional, John Wither, he has helped hundreds of golfers of all standards using his simple training methods.  He understands that you do not want to make too many changes of your swing while on holiday so he concentrates on minor adjustments which can improve your ball striking and ball flight so that you have a more enjoyable golf holiday in Hua Hin.

Phuket Golf Lesson

 "There are two great options in Phuket - both located near Laguna Phuket Golf"

If you are staying in the north of the island around Laguna on Bangtao Beach, then there are two very good options available.  Martin Platts, who is also known as the “Golf Guru” operates small driving range a few minutes from the entrance to Laguna and about 10 minutes from Laguna Phuket Golf.  The driving range is open every day and features 25 driving bays and a small short game practice area.  Martin is one of the most experienced golf instructors in Thailand and has a huge following from golfers of all standards and has a very nice teaching style especially for beginners.  He also operates a small bar and pro shop.  Martin is a great character and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the game of golf.

The Andy Combe Golf School is located at the driving range at Laguna Phuket Golf and features a driving range with putting practice area and bunkers as well.  Andy was a former tour player and his facility offer top class teaching in relaxed surroundings and after your lesson it’s just a short stroll to the first tee on the nearby course.

Chiang Mai Golf Lessons

If you are heading north on your Thailand Golf Holiday and want to get some lessons, then we recommend the Three Generation Golf Academy which is a bout 45 minutes outside the city in the Mae Rim area.  If you are looking for something a bit closer to town then you could try the driving range at Stardome Golf Club which has nearly 100 bays on offer and teaching pros available to assist with your game.  They also have a 9-hole golf courses offering night golf so this could be an ideal facility to tune up your game.
