Manila has a reputation as a crowded and sometimes dirty jungle of concrete and is often ignored and used as a stopover for golfers and holidaymakers to travel onto other Philippine provinces or islands. There is some truth in this, but Manila is nevertheless rapidly cleaning up its act and has a rich history and many wonderful experiences on offer. The city is very spread out and culturally a melting pot, with a colorful multi-cultural heritage and exotic nightlife.

Manila is also the home to some of the best golf courses in Asia and you will get to play two of the very best.

The Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club was designed by Jack Nicklaus and has played host to several Philippine Open golf tournaments and water comes into play on 15 of the 18 holes.  Trouble lies in wait on each hole and despite offering an easy start on the first hole, things become much tougher as you enter the final holes of the front nine and move into the back nine holes.

Sherwood Hills Golf and Country Club is consistently ranked as one of the best in the country. The best way to describe the golf course, is an inland links style course, with hard running fairways and open fronted greens.
