Bagan Golf Club is not a championship golf courses, nor will it ever be and at best it is a basic resort course and when playing this course you should consider the overall experience and realise that you are playing golf in amongst some of the amazing temples that make Bagan so famous.
The course is set right beside or even inside the World Heritage temples area of Bagan. On some of the holes you can use the spires of some of these ancient temples to decide on where you intend to aim. The 12th hole is particularly memorable as pagodas line both sides of the fairway.
Don't go expecting much in terms of course design and the condition is very average, being hot and dusty during the dry season and maybe a bit muddy during wet. The greens are playable but very slow and the caddies, who speak very little English are merely bag carriers.
