Shwe Man Tuang Golf Resort is located just a short distance from the centre of Mandalay and is actually within touching distance of the city.
The golf course is a par-72, playing at 6,669 yards and was created by a local designer. The course was opened for play in 1975.
The scenery around Shwe Man Tuang Golf Resort really is something to behold, with tree clad hills dotted with temples and wats, providing a spectacular backdrop to a round of golf. Mandalay Hill is also in view for much of the course and can actually be seen when playing 50% of shots during a round of golf at Shwe Man Tuang Golf Resort.
The course is kept in good condition and perhaps the biggest challenge are the par-5 holes, which are a test of long, accurate ball striking.
There is a clubhouse, which provides all the basic needs a golfer requires, without being spectacular. If you are in the Mandalay region of Myanmar, Shwe Man Tuang Golf Resort is definitely worth a visit.
