Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An

The course is very well designed. Not overly long but well planned for a round of fun golf. Greens were slow on the day we played. The caddies were wonderful and knew their yardages and putting lines. The horror was when we found out that our tee time at 11.24 was not going to be honoured because apparently on weekends including Fridays they have a shot gun tee off at 12.30 which we weren't informed about. The agency in Vietnam has not informed Golf savers about it. Unfortunately even at 12.35 we had not teed off and that is when we had to literally fight and get a cart and caddies after a lot of shouting and screaming, we loaded our own bags and then after much ado, since we created a scene, they sent us to hole number three. Needless to say there was no shotgun and it was all a hoax. They only cater to Korean golfers who come by the droves and as we have experienced the world over are the most unpleasant people to deal with. It was very sad to see the old Vietnamese culture no longer existent and replaced by a new greed only for money that wasn't there before. I will definitely not play here again because the hassle of dealing with 200 plus Koreans jostling for space and walking all over you is not how I want my golf round to be. It was overall a very stressful day and was by far the worst golfing experience in my life. It was just fraud all over as they only cater to these big groups and we saw a lot of people go ahead of us even before 12.30 PM and we were left waiting. Just sheer apathy at this course and no one was even apologetic.

The course and caddies were nice. The club house is also nice and decent. The pizza we had was nice. However the golfing experience itself was horrible. We had a tee time of 11.24 which wasn't honoured by the club as apparently all weekend games including Friday have only shotgun starts at 7.30 AM and 12.30 PM. The round was excruciatingly slow as there were more golfers than the course could accommodate and huge groups were prioritised over golfers like ourselves which led to some altercation in getting carts and teeing off at 12.30PM. Overall a very poor experience, unapologetic staff and suffice it to say will not be playing here ever again.

Very busy golf course but very well organised. 18 holes took 5 hrs but flowed well. Course was in very good condition and greens were excellent with medium pace. Our caddies were very good, friendly and knew the course and greens well. Registration was easy . We arrived early and were sent onto the course immediately with no time to practice but I believe it was because they were so busy. Small pro shop area. Food and facilities are good. We enjoyed our game here.

Nice course in great condition. Lots of bunkers and sandy rough areas which are challenging if going off the fairways. greens Ok. Biggest frustration was no carts on the fairways and how many times the caddie has the wrong club when you are 80 yards from your cart…. This was enough of a frustration to avoid me playing here again. Caddies were nice enough and tried to help but not super knowledgeable…. Little bit disorganised on arrival but eventually got there - driving range area is good.

Course was in great shape. Golf club was very nice with variety of food selection (the Korean Ramen and Kimchi was awesome). However, the locker room was the best, especially after a round in the mid 90s with high humidity. The shower and bathroom amenities (tooth brush/paste, razor/face cream, comb, and shampoo/body wash) was much needed and appreciated! Would golf at Vinpearl again, if in the neighborhood.
