Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club Is just under an hour away from Fukuoka City in Japan. It is situated in-land and can also be comfortably reached from Kitakyushu, making both places ideal for accommodation when playing golf in this region of the country.
Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club opened for play in 1987 and is a par-72, 18 hole golf course. As the name suggests, Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club does not incorporate a Lake within the 18 holes but instead the golf course sets next to a large lake. However, that's not to say water does not play a role during a round of golf at Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club.
You do not have to wait long before finding water on the golf course and you are required to play a tee shot over a pond on the 3rd hole. The 10th and 17th holes are another good example of where water can cause a problem, especially on approach to the green on the 17th. There are 2 greens on each hole and both are well protected by bunkers.
Some of the fairways at Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club can be quite narrow, meaning accuracy from the tee is important to avoid getting into trouble.
The clubhouse features a restaurant with fantastic views of the golf course and in addition to the locker rooms, players can make use of the practice range before commencing a round. Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club is one of the best in Fukuoka prefecture and well worth a visit when staying in this area of Japan.
