Ami Golf Club is a golf course owned and operated by PGM with easy access from the Expressway which connects to the city. Over the years it has hosted a number of professional competitions and it has the reputation of being quite a difficult course. It also has the reputation of having very fast and difficult greens.
On the outward nine water hazards are a factor on six of the holes and it is particularly evident on the par-5 third hole with water all the way along the fairway and then another large pond guarding the front of the green. On the 7th you have water all the way along the left and on the short par 3 eighth you tee of across a large pond to a green guarded by a large beach bunker.
Not too much respite as you make your way home – another daunting tee shot across water on the par 3, eleventh and on the par 5, thirteenth you have to chose between avoiding the water on the left or a large bunker on the right. An equally challenging par 5 to finish with a very daunting approach with several bunker to the left and water on the right.
