Pattaya Country Club Golf Resort has recently re-opened after a lengthy closure and has been extensively renovated. Not the most exciting course in Pattaya but one of the closest to the town and ideal for high handicappers and those trying to stretch their budget.
In the hills behind Pattaya, conveniently located just off the main Pattaya-Rayong motorway, bordered by pineapple and palm plantations lies the upgraded Pattaya Country Club.
An interesting layout with split fairways and some cleverly located bunkers but not too much water to spoil your card.
The front nine are pretty straightforward and it is not until your reach the 9th which is a long uphill par-4 and rated the most difficult on the course that things start to get interesting and could lead to a dropped shot.
The back nine is much more interesting with several water hazards in play. Hole 11 is a particularly interesting and challenging par-5 with several bunkers to negotiate and a stream which crosses in front of the raised green.
They have recently completed a brand new clubhouse with state-of-the-art facilities.
