Royal Lakeside Golf Club Resort

If u are heading to Pattaya, u can consider to play at this golf course before heading to Pattaya. Well maintained golf course with attentive caddy. Golf course condition is good and pace of play is reasonable.

The course is beautiful and scenic with water running along the edges of most of the fairways. It doesn't really come into play unless errant tee shots are hit. The course was in good condition. However the greens were a bit slow and not uniform. The caddies were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food options at the restaurant for vegetarians however was limited but the pizza we ordered was delicious. The Aircon in the locker and change room area was not working on the day we played and they had fans placed so was unbearably hot inside. A good course and worth playing if you're in the area.

After I played someone "took" my clothes when I am in the shower so Royal Lakeside has a major security issue ! I don't know how many others players this has happened to but I got the impression I was not the first. Valuables were obviously in a locker but do you now need to put sweaty clothes there also ?You might question why someone would "take" dirty clothes but simply put after a wash they are good and not including the belt I have lost 15000THB worth of items. When I asked the check-in guy to speak to manager he rolled out the cleaning lady who he introduced as the manager - maybe he thinks all farang are ting tong. Eventually I spoke to the manageress who blamed fellow society members for taking them and to be fair there were a lot of new faces there that day but we were last group in and locker room was deserted so ultimately security is a problem with no CCTV (understandable in toilet and shower but not locker room?) and I am "missing" my items. I recommend everyone to AVOID Royal Lakeside

Very good course w/ near sea side, a bit windy but cooler as well! Also, it is close to Bangkok Airport and easy to access! Caddie service can be better!

This is still one of the best golf courses in this part of Thailand. It’s exactly half way between Bangkok and Pattaya so it’s equally accessible from both cities. The huge clubhouse is exceptional and the service excellent and the course was also well equally well maintained. The caddies were good and knew their stuff and made us feel very welcome. The whole experience was ruined because they allow groups of six to play and this blocks the entire course and we ended up playing the same nine holes again otherwise we would not have finished before dark. The clubhouse and service are outstanding and the 18-hole golf course is maintained to the same high standard.
