Rayong Green Valley Country Club in Pattaya is one of the very popular courses in the St Andrews 2000 family designed by Peter Thomson to cater to players of all standards. This attractive and beautifully landscaped course is a delight to play.
The designer has made the best use of the original shape of the land so you will be forced to pick your way around boulders, past rocky outcrops and to cope with the uneven lies. They have also thrown in many man-made obstacles as well in the shape of fairway bunkers expertly positioned to capture the wayward drive, plenty of water and some tricky two-tier greens.
You may be somewhat downcast after the opening hole as its one of the most difficult with a long carry over water from the tee followed by a long uphill approach to a smallish green. However do not despair as the course becomes a little easier after that providing you do not let the wonderful views distract you from your shot making.
Do try one of the three restaurants in the excellent clubhouse.

This is a very busy course so expect delays at the weekends and you can often notice a bit of wear and tear on the tee boxes and around the greens due to the heavy traffic.
