Matsushima Chisan C.C. Osato Course one of the longer courses in this large golfing complex but is reasonably forgiving with wide open fairways and not too many water or other hazards.
A long par 5 to start off your round and as long as you can keep it on the fairway it should not cause too much trouble. The fourth is a short par 3 and the easiest hole on the course and offers a good birdie chance. This is followed by a short par 4 which is a downhill right dogleg which the very low handicappers might reach with their drive. The rest of the holes on the opening half are pretty straightforward and are all long, straight and flat.
Another long par 5 to start the inward nine and this is the most difficult hole on the course - mainly because of its length. This is followed by two challenging par 4's and the most interssting holes as you make your way home are the two short holes: The par 3 is well protected by two greenside bunkers and is made more difficult if the wind is blowing and the 16th which requires a tee shot over water.
