Sendai Hills Golf club is 27-hole layout located around 30 minutes outside Sendai - its very much a resort course and ideal for golfers of all standards.. The course is quite hilly with plent of elevation changes and from the highest points on the courses you get excellent views of Mount Izumigatake.
The third hole on the Yaotome courses is the most difficult hole on the courses measuring 432 yards from the regular tees and you need to find the narrow fairway weith yoru drive to have any chance of reaching the green which is protected on the right side by a water hazard lined by a beach bunker. You don't get much respite on the next hole which is a severe dogleg with bunkers guarding both sides of ther fairway.
On the Nakayama course the 5th is a short par-4 which is definately in range for the top golfers but for amtaeurs you will need to negotiate the dogleg and get in position for your approach to a green protected by water on one side and sand on the other. The 7th on this nine is arguably the most challenging as it requires an accurate drive to a narrowing fairway which is protected by water and bunkers althiuhg longer hitters should be able to carry over the bunkers to the wider part of the fairway.
The Spring course is probably the easiest of the three courses with less water and some shorter holes although the 5th is a long par-3 with a water hazard in front of the green.
