Black Mountain Golf Club

Holes 27 | Par 72 | Length 6903 m / 7549 y | Type Parkland | Architect Notlöv & Edfors

Black Mountain Golf Club features 27-holes of breathtaking, championship-standard golf and regularly ranks as one of the top 100 courses in the world. The host of multiple Asian PGA events, the course is set amidst stunning mountains, natural creeks and contours carved by nature; it’s a beautiful area for a really challenging game of golf.

While Black Mountain Golf Club was designed to test professional players in mind, five tee boxes mean the challenge can be tailored to players of all abilities. The impeccably-maintained Seashore Paspalum fairways are actually more generous for the shorter drive, tending to narrow further down where Tiger would be landing his ball.

When it comes to the blind holes and severe dog-legs however, you might find yourself paying for an overly conservative approach off the tee. The greens are comfortably large but generally well protected by water and superbly sculpted bunkers.

All three nines (the original East and North Courses were supplemented by a third nine, the West Course, in 2016) feature some truly memorable holes. At the par-5 2nd on the East Course, water threatens three times, with a drive over a waterway, a lake intruding into the fairway, and another water carry on approach into a green guarded by two massive sand traps.

Amazing course with lack of service

Reviewed by ; on
As mentioned previously, Black Mountain is an amazing course and the caddies are great too. Unfortunately, all of this is always overshadowed with an attitude at the drop off area for bags. The person with the list really has an attitude problem and is extremely unorganized. I had to carry my own bag from the drop off area to find a caddy that was appointed to me. The first and last impressions are always important and black mountain fails at both of them. Nevertheless the course is a must play

In every way a very good golf course!

Black Mountain is the best course arround Hua Hin. in perfect condition with a lot of nice views. Greens unbelivable fast, too fast for average golfers with handicaps arround 15 to 20. But all in all a course we really can recomend.

Rate the course not the facilities

Reviewed by ; on
The first impression was that they were a little unorganised, as clients who booked a round of golf via golf savers are not shown on the official list when dropping off the bags. This of course created some irritation to both the client and employees. The facilities, such as the locker rooms do the job, but they are also not in a league with other courses around here. What I did not like was the smell of urine in the locker rooms early in the morning. Considering the first impressions within the first 10 minutes the golf course as well as the caddy made up for the initial bad impression. I really enjoyed the course and the fact a lot of hazards have been built in. Bunkers are nice and soft, greens luckily do not run as fast as some other courses and are "easier" to read. Overall, the Blackmountain Golf Course lives up to the hype and its definitely a course you should play when visiting Hua Hin.

It's a great course & fun to play

A great golf course, challenging lay out & green. Fairway & green condition are great too. If you have time, play the whole 27 holes (east, west, & north). Recommended
