Black Mountain Golf Club

Holes 27 | Par 72 | Length 6903 m / 7549 y | Type Parkland | Architect Notlöv & Edfors

Black Mountain Golf Club features 27-holes of breathtaking, championship-standard golf and regularly ranks as one of the top 100 courses in the world. The host of multiple Asian PGA events, the course is set amidst stunning mountains, natural creeks and contours carved by nature; it’s a beautiful area for a really challenging game of golf.

While Black Mountain Golf Club was designed to test professional players in mind, five tee boxes mean the challenge can be tailored to players of all abilities. The impeccably-maintained Seashore Paspalum fairways are actually more generous for the shorter drive, tending to narrow further down where Tiger would be landing his ball.

When it comes to the blind holes and severe dog-legs however, you might find yourself paying for an overly conservative approach off the tee. The greens are comfortably large but generally well protected by water and superbly sculpted bunkers.

All three nines (the original East and North Courses were supplemented by a third nine, the West Course, in 2016) feature some truly memorable holes. At the par-5 2nd on the East Course, water threatens three times, with a drive over a waterway, a lake intruding into the fairway, and another water carry on approach into a green guarded by two massive sand traps.

Great course with reasonable pricing.

The only suggestion I have is that they install a golf bag rack at the bag drop as patently they lean the bags against each other and I witnessed some of them fall over.

Course good but marshals need to help quicker players to play through when held up

Reviewed by ; on
Considering the rain the course played very well and I did like the layout very much. My caddie's advice was accurate and will recommend to my friends Caddie Aoy good! Unfortunately there was a group of 2 in front that wouldn't allow me to play through even with Aoy's efforts.

Golfers Visiting Hua Hin Must Include a Round at Black Mountain on Their Itinerary ....

Reviewed by ; on
We thoroughly enjoyed our game at Black Mountain. From the minute we arrived at the golf club, the service provided by all staff was very good. The course itself is very beautiful, with some challenging holes. Although it is possible to walk, I would suggest taking a buggy to maximise the enjoyment of your round - there are lot of holes which play uphill. The caddies are friendly and experienced - and know the course very well. The clubhouse facilities are also excellent - large proshop, fabulous locker room facilities and very good food and beverage menus to enjoy on the terrace area.
