Kuala Lumpur Golf & CC East Course is parkland style, measuring 6741 meters from the back tees and featuring beautiful vibrant-colored landscaping. In 2010, this 18-hole championship course was voted Malaysia's fourth best course. The design takes full advantage of the land's beauty and makes you feel at one with nature. It has natural grasses and wetlands, as well as natural habitats for many species of wildlife and birds.
The length, layout, and toughness of this course are all perfectly balanced to reward the intelligent golfer. The Kuala Lumpur golf course is in immaculate condition wioth carpet-like fairways and fast and true greens. The designer has made good use of the undulating terrain with many elevation changes.
The East course has a pleasantly undulating parkland character as well, with several nicely elevated tee-boxes that provide a good view of the challenges ahead. The lightly tree-lined, contoured fairways define each hole, some of which require driving accuracy.
Straight-hitting from the tee is much more difficult on the back-opening nine's holes, which are flanked by OB and condominiums, than on the easier-going front-nine. You need to bring your A game to the Kuala Lumpur Golf & CC, East Course as the greens are all well protected by some deep bunkers, not to mention the many water hazards and the rough which comes quite close to many greens.
The inward nine holes are the most challenging and with the par-5 16th one of the most difficult with the water hazards clearly visible from the elevated tee boxes. You need to take great care on ther finishing hole as a lake guards the front of the green.
